The Minnesota Twins are set to kick off their Spring Training schedule against the University of Minnesota tomorrow night at Hammond Stadium. Thus far, we have only heard of a few pitchers that will throw in the game for the Twins. Now, thanks to Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, we know everyone that can be expect to make an appearance in the game.

While tomorrow is not a split-squad day, there is still way too many players in camp for everyone to get a chance on the diamond. With the Twins just easing into their first game, there will be plenty of opportunities the rest of the month for positional battles to sort themselves out.
With that said, here is who will participate in the game tomorrow night against the Gophers:
Pitchers
Jose Berrios
Tyler Duffey
Mark Hamburger
Glen Perkins
Ryan Pressly
Michael Tonkin
Jason Wheeler
Adrian Salcedo
Catchers
Chris Herrmann
Josmil Pinto
Dan Rohlfing
Infielders
James Beresford
Eduardo Nunez
Miguel Sano
Kennys Vargas
Outfielders
Byron Buxton
Eric Farris
Max Kepler
Daniel Ortiz
Shane Robinson
Eddie Rosario
Quick Thoughts:
- It will be fun for Twins fans to get to see Berrios go in the first outing of the spring. With local guys, Hamburger and Perkins also throwing, the Gophers should have plenty of excitement behind each base hit.
- The Twins are getting the backup catching battle going early pitting Pinto against Herrmann in the first game of the spring.
- Miguel Sano in the infield, on the lineup card, is there anything else that needs to be said?
- Considering Buxton, Sano, Kepler, and Rosario are all slated to play for the Twins, it’s probably safe to say any excitement built up for this game just got magnified.
Look for the Twins to want to set a good tone for the spring. While results are nominal at best during the spring, a college exhibition isn’t a game they’ll want to lose. Make sure to catch the action at 6:05 pm CST on Fox Sports North and the Twins Radio Network.
