Harmon Killebrew Stamp Campaign Gets Twitter Account

Back in November we brought you a story that is close to the heart of any Minnesota Twins fan that is also a stamp collector… Or for that matter any stamp collector that is a Minnesota Twins fan or just a plain old baseball fan. That story was that we wanted to get Harmon Killebrew on a stamp.

The fight is still going on. You can check out all the details on the campaign here. Make sure you have your letter writing pencil ready!

But the push to get The Killer on a stamp has taken the next step. This step is crucial in today’s modern age. The campaign now has a Twitter account which you should follow and get all of your friends to follow as well.

Make sure to use the hashtag #StampHarmon when you tweet your support.

This is not just any old account either. The Twitter account already has some very, very powerful followers. Twins President Dave St. Peter, The Sporting News’ MLB Twitter handle even U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar. Throw in Twins fan favorite accounts like @MNTwinsZealot, @ClassicMNTwins, Stirrups Now!, @PuckettsPond (you think this is shameless promotion…)  and @CollinKottke (there it is), this Twitter account is sure to take off.

You are probably already on Twitter, so you might as well help the great cause of getting one of the greatest baseball players of all-time on a stamp! Who knows how long we’ll have stamps! Let’s do this folks! Go follow @HarmonUSStamp and let’s make dreams come true!
