Minnesota Twins Spring Training Dates Unveiled

As Target Field currently sits covered in snow, it is best to remember that the Minnesota Twins are just over a month away from reporting to sunny Fort Myers to kick off their Spring Training schedule. With the time quickly approaching, the club has now announced the dates in which players will be arriving.

Hammond Stadium remains the destination for the Minnesota Twins Spring Training program, but this season, renovations to the spring home of the club will be noticeable. First to see them will be the pitchers and catchers for the Twins, who will report to Fort Myers on February 22. Later that week, Friday to be exact, the first full squad workout will take place (February 27).

As the Twins gather in sunny Fort Myers this spring, there will be plenty of storylines to watch out for. With the back end of the starting rotation up for grabs, it will be interesting to see who claims coveted spots. With a slew of young talent, there is a handful of promising minor league prospects to watch. Also, with new free agent signings in the fold, and the return of Torii Hunter, their will be no shortage of excitement.
