The Minnesota Twins are the hottest team in Major League Baseball, having won eight of their last nine games. Unfortunately for Red Sox fans, their favorite team accounts for two of those Twins victories. Boston and Minnesota began a three-game set at Target Field on Monday. The Twins tagged ace Garrett Crochet for 11 runs (10 earned) as they beat the Red Sox 13-6 on Monday before scoring five runs off Sonny Gray en route to a 6-0 win on Tuesday.
As the Twins were piling on runs against the Red Sox on Tuesday, a Red Sox fan on X (formerly Twitter) humorously asked the Twins' X account, "can you leave me alone." The Twins' social media team had a simple, but funny response:
no ❤️

Sorry that the Twins didn't leave you alone, "brayan bello defender." The Red Sox have a chance to win against the Twins in the series finale today, but Minnesota has already claimed the series victory.
Twins are hot. Red Sox are not.
Boston had an extremely slow start to the season, losing eight of its first 10 games. Then, the Red Sox won four of five games against the Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals. It appeared the team had gotten back on track.
Unfortunately for the Red Sox, they had to play the mighty Twins after their hot streak. As it stands, the Twins hold sole possession of the American League's first seed with an 11-7 record, while the Red Sox are tied with the Chicago White Sox for last in the AL with a 6-11 record.
Even though it's still extremely early in the season, no one would've believed you if you told them prior to Opening Day that the Twins would hold the best record in the AL and the Red Sox would hold the worst halfway through April. The Twins are coming off a disastrous season, finishing with a 70-92 record, while the Red Sox made the postseason after finishing the regular season with an 89-73 record.
Twins set to play Red Sox in series finale today
The series finale between the Red Sox and Twins is scheduled to begin at 12:40 p.m. CST today at Target Field. The Twins will face another lefty in Connelly Early (0-0, 2.63 ERA), while righty Simeon Woods Richardson (0-2, 4.60 ERA) is slated to make the start on the mound for the Twins. The game will be available to stream on Twins.TV.
