It was just over a year ago that the Minnesota Twins revealed a new look and debuted a fresh set of uniforms, and we're a week away from it happening again.

This time around won't be an overhaul of the team's look, rather the Twins are joining the City Connect party and debuting a second alternate uniform that will be worn this season. June 15th is when the team is slated to debut their newest jersey, and we're a week away from the team finally revealing what it will look like.

We've known for months that the Twins would be adding another uniform to its rotation, but the Fanatics debacle cast doubt over just how soon it would happen -- assuming it would at all. It seems we've all moved past whatever was going wrong with uniforms earlier this season and the expectation is that the City Connects will be ready to roll.

Twins drop massive hint about what City Connect uniforms might look like

We hadn't heard much about the City Connect uniforms, but the Twins decided to dump a ton of information on Monday. Not only did we get a complete rollout schedule for the new uniforms but the team dropped a teaser that might give us an idea of what the final product will look like.

It doesn't take a detective to deduce that the state's 10,000 lakes might be playing a role in what the City Connect jerseys look like. This wouldn't be the first time a team in Minnesota to go with a lake-inspired look, as the Timberwolves had a similar vibe with their City Edition uniforms this season.

The NBA has been doing their own version of City Connect uniforms for years now, with the Timberwolves laying the foundation for what we can likley expect from the Twins. They won't be carbon copies of one another, but it's a good place to look for where things might end up.

Minnesota using water to tease the uniform's reveal seems to suggest something along the lines of what the Timberwolves did won't be far off.

We can also look at other City Connects to see what template the Twins might follow. There will almost certianly be a shortening of the state's spelling -- in this case 'SOTA' seems like a safe guess -- and the color scheme being outside of what the team usually uses is another common thread among these uniforms.

It's unlikely that 'Twin Cities' will be used since those uniforms already exist, and early fan renderings featuring a powder blue look and 'MSP' on the front didn't receive the warmest reception. Given that dark blue is already in the team's color scheme, this tease perhaps raises more questions than it answers, but certainly amps up the anticipation for what the City Connect uniforms will look like when they're revealed next week.
