2014 MLB All Star Game: Taco Bell Legends and Celebrity Softball Game

Each year during the Major League Baseball All Star Game festivities, one event stands above the rest as a hat tip to both baseball and casual fans like, and this year is no different.  With the 2014 Major League Baseball All Star Game festivities in full swing, the Taco Bell Legends and Celebrity Softball game once again shows up as an event for all to enjoy.

Following the conclusion of the 2014 Sirius XM Futures Game, Target Field will play host to the Taco Bell Legends and Celebrity Softball Game.  With things set to get underway at approximately 7:30pm central time, Minneapolis, MN and Target Field will be treated to some softball shenanigans by some of the biggest names in baseball and show business.

Should you have missed out on your chance to get in on the action, don’t worry, tickets are still available for the event.

Another treat as part of All Star Sunday was announced by Major League Baseball as well.  Panic At The Disco will perform for fans, on the field, at Target Field prior to the start of the Taco Bell Legends and Celebrity Softball Game.

Andy Cohen:  A television guru as both a show host and producer, there is little that Cohen hasn’t done in the television industry.  Famous for producing both The Real Housewives franchise and Top Chef, Cohen will be looking to make a splash at Target Field.

Andre Dawson: Dawson is a Major League Baseball Hall of Famer, having been inducted in 2010.  Currently he works in the Miami Marlins organization as a special assistant to the President.

James Denton: Well known for his role on Desperate Housewives, Denton has appeared in Ally McBeal and The West Wing as well.  He currently lives in Chanhassen, MN.

Chris Distefano: Currently a host on MTV2’s Off The Bat, Distefano has grown to be a partner through the show with Major League Baseball.

Jennie Finch: Needing no introduction, Finch is arguably the most famous softball player of all time.  The former Arizona Wildcat now works for ESPN as an analyst.

Rollie Fingers: Best known for his handlebar mustache, Rollie Fingers is a 1992 Hall of Fame inductee.  He has over 300 career saves and multiple World Series rings.

Dwight Gooden: A 16 year Major League Baseball player, having played for both the New York Yankees and New York Mets, Gooden is a multiple time World Series winner and All Star himself.

Rickey Henderson: A 2009 Major League Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, Henderson perfected the art of the steal (1,406), and is widely regarded as the greatest leadoff man ever.

Melanie Iglesias: A actress that has been featured in multiple publications, she is also a host on MTV2’s Off the Bat.

Fat Joe: Well known for his prolific rap career, the New York City native is also a host on MTV2’s Off the Bat, a show merging baseball and pop culture.

Fred Lynn: Lynn is a nine time All Star himself, and is still the only player to have hit a grand slam in a Major League Baseball All Star Game.

Charlie McDermott: McDermott appears as both an actor and director in the show business world.  Best known for his performance on The Middle, he has appeared in multiple other shows and movies.

Maya Moore: Moore is the current star of the reigning WNBA champion, Minnesota Lynx.  Following a prolific college career, she has blossomed to new heights in the WNBA.

Jack Morris: Current Minnesota Twins broadcaster and St. Paul native, Morris is a four-time Word Series winner and is loved by Twins fans for his performance in the 1991 World Series.

Nelly: A well-known St. Louis Cardinals fan, hailing from the same state, Nelly is a multi Grammy Award winning rapper, singer, and songwriter.  He has been a staple in the Legends and Celebrity Softball game.

Dylan O’Brien: Set to be the star of the upcoming movie, The Maze Runner, O’Brien is quickly making a name for himself in Hollywood.

Zach Parise: Current wonderboy and left-wing of the hometown Minnesota Wild, Parise is a Minnesota native that has revitalized hockey in the state of Minnesota.

Adrian Peterson: Peterson, the current star running back of the local Minnesota Vikings, was a 2,000 yard rusher only a season ago.  A gifted athlete on the gridiron, he will take his talents to the diamond at Target Field.

Mike Piazza: Piazza is widely regarded as one of the greatest New York Mets of all time and was a staple behind the plate during his career.

Rob Riggle: Actor, comedian, writer and all around funny guy, Riggle is most recently being applauded for his performance in 22 Jump Street.

Ozzie Smith: The “Wizard,” Smith played through a prolific career, winning on World Series with the St. Louis Cardinals before being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2002.

John Smoltz: Smoltz is one of the most revered Atlanta Braves pitchers of all time and is a member of the exclusive 3,000 strikeout club.  He went toe to toe with Jack Morris in the 1991 World Series.

Sway: a rapper from California, Sway contributes on multiple different MTV projects.  Currently, he is a host on MTV2’s Off the Bat.

Jim Thome: One of the most forceful home run hitters of all time, Thome played 22 years in the Major Leagues, as well as playing for the Minnesota Twins.  With over 600 career home runs, he is amongst the all time leaders in the category.

Andrew Zimmern: A world-renowned chef and TV personality, Zimmern currently resides in Edina, MN.
