Twins fans would like to forget about this past week. After losing three of four to the White Sox in Chicago, the Twins suffered a three-game sweep to the Pirates in Pittsburgh, lowering their record to 27-33. The Pirates' social media team mocked the Twins on X after the sweep, posting a photo of one of Minnesota's classic logos with the "W" erased.

As much as the sweep stings, the Twins simply have to respect the Pirates' troll job. It's not like the Twins haven't trolled another team on social media before; when Minnesota handed the New York Mets their 12th straight loss in April, the Twins' social media team had a savage post of their own:
Things you can get in a dozen:

If you're going to dish it, you have to be able to take it. I'm sure the Twins' players and brass aren't upset that the Pirates trolled their team. They're probably much more upset with their recent rough stretch of play and focused on doing whatever they can to get back in the win column.
Despite losing six of their last seven games, the Twins are just two games out of the final AL Wild Card spot. Hope may be low among Twins Territory, but Minnesota could easily find itself back in a playoff position within a few days. However, recent injuries to Bailey Ober and Kendry Rojas make it even more difficult to be optimistic.
Twins to host series against White Sox this week
The Twins are about to play the team that just took three of four games against them this past week, the Chicago White Sox. At least this time, Minnesota will have home-field advantage.
Surprisingly, the White Sox hold the second AL Wild Card spot with a 32-27 record and trail the AL Central-leading Cleveland Guardians by just one game. Entering the season, almost no one would've expected the White Sox to be in the position they're in at this point in the season. But here we are.
The Twins are playing at the level many expected before the season. At five games under .500, Minnesota is proving to be one of the more average teams in the AL. They're lucky they're in the AL, as their record would have them sitting five games out of a Wild Card spot in the NL as opposed to two in the AL.
Game 1 of the Twins' three-game set against the White Sox at Target Field is scheduled to begin at 6:40 p.m. CDT tonight. The game will be available to stream on Twins TV.
