Since the 2025 MLB season came to its end, Joe Ryan and Byron Buxton have littered the rumor mill. These two faces of the Minnesota Twins' franchise have dominated headlines as major trade candidates this offseason, and for good reason. Both still well-within their primes, these two guys can help turn a team into a contender.

Sadly for the the Twins, Ryan and Buxton aren't the only Twins who could be traded. With the MLB Winter Meetings coming up from December 7-11 in Orlando, Florida, Twins fans need to prepare themselves for Pablo Lopez and Ryan Jeffers to also get potentially dealt.

Twins' Pablo Lopez, Ryan Jeffers could get traded at 2025 MLB Winter Meetings

Lopez, 29, dealth with shoulder and forearm injuries in 2025, which led to him only starting in 14 games. He made those starts count, though. He produced a 2.74 ERA, 1.110 WHIP, and 2.1 bWAR in third year with Minnesota.

He also ended the year strong with three respectable September outings. Across his final 15 innings, Lopez allowed just four runs, and struck out 12 batters. Lopez has been an exceptional Twin, logging a 10.0 K/9 and 3.44 FIP in three Minnesota seasons. It's no surprise that with three years left on his contract, Lopez will be a top candidate for several teams looking to win a World Series in that window.

As for Jeffers, there will be a decent market for him. Some top teams like the Yankees would love for Jeffers to play 80-90 games as a reliable backup. Others in need of a catcher would have no problem slotting him into an everyday role. Jeffers isn't going to wow you on defense, but the 28-year-old has produced a 6.5 bWAR in the last three years thanks to a strong bat.

His home runs took a dip this past year, only muscling nine, but he still roped 26 doubles to hand in his third-straight season of an OPS+ of 103 or better. He'll be worth whatever teams want to throw at the Twins in a trade package.

But, both Lopez and Jeffers are fan favorites. They can each contribute to the Twins in 2026, a season that may make or break the psyche of thousands of fans. There's a chance for this club to win next year, but they need to hang on to their guys. Unfortunately, we may not see them beyond the MLB Winter Meetings. Fingers crossed.
