The Minnesota Twins utilized 46 total players on their active roster and executed over 180 total roster transactions during the 2026 Major League Baseball season. The team filtered through 24 different pitchers and 22 position players to fill out their daily lineups. Along the way, a number of Quad-A players were filtered through. I have a soft spot for these players as they're very talented and are playing for their redemption or a shot in MLB.

Here's a 2026 lineup of the Twins Quad-A grinders who are over 25 and helped the Twins along the way or faded away as the season progressed. The hot prospects, such as Walker Jenkins, are a topic for another time.

A shout out to the "AAAA" of the 2026 Minnesota Twins

Catcher: Alex Jackson- A frequent moving part of the Twins shuttle this year who mysteriously would go days and sometimes weeks between MLB appearances despite still being on the Twins roster. He was productive in his appearances, but as a third-string catcher, he collected a nice paycheck for his efforts.

First Base: Aaron Sabato- He finally put together a season to earn a late-season call-up for his cup of coffee. Seems like an affable guy in watching him at St. Paul. His future plans remain murky, but he's a feel good story of resilience.

Second Base: Orlando Arcia- The veteran journeyman was a nice depth piece to start the season and allow Royce Lewis to find his form when he was called up. He was released in July and finished the season in the Reds system.

Shortstop: Ryan Kreidler- One of the successes of this group as he earned his way to the Twins, spending a majority of the season there with his super utility abilities.

Third Base: Tristan Gray- Versatile but hasn't quite found the consistency to cement himself in MLB. He'll remain a mystery as the off-season progresses.

Center Field: James Outman- Talented but just never able to reclaim his early MLB success. A semi-controversial opening day roster choice who was unproductive, resulting in an early release, picked up by the Tigers, where he had similar struggles.

Right Field: Kyler Fedko- He began his 2026 season dominating Triple-A St. Paul, where his breakout earned a June 15 promotion to the Minnesota Twins, where he went 0-for-16 in 14 games. After a severe August knee injury, Minnesota released him, and he signed a minor-league deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Left Field: Alan Roden- One of the pieces of the controversial Louie Varland trade. He finally paid some dividends with his opportunities for the Twins. Roden likely sticks around as a depth piece for next season.

Designated Hitter: Matt Wallner- Still has the power, but strikeouts remained a concern. He got a legit chance at the start of the season but wasn't able to find his way back to Minneapolis after being sent down. While his future is unclear with the Twins, he may have a Brent Rooker-type comeback in him if he gets another opportunity with the Twins or another club.

Pitcher: Cody Lawyerson- After bouncing around the minors for seven years, he's been getting his shot in MLB for parts of the last two seasons. Maybe next year he takes the next step.

For these fringe contributors and classic "AAAA" talent, they represent the purgatory between crushing Triple-A and struggling for consistent playing time at the big-league level. These depth options always face mounting pressure from a highly touted wave of top prospects knocking on the door. Keep grinding and hustling, gentlemen!!
