Everyone can appreciate something new, right? They can also appreciate little details that make things a little better, too. This season, the Minnesota Twins have already unveiled a new alternate road uniform to their kit.
To keep things fresh, the organization has also added a new patch to the regular road jerseys. This reveal was seemingly kept hush until the Twins ran out onto the field at Camden Yards in Baltimore for Opening Day. It's fun when teams are full of surprises, and though this isn't a huge deal, it's nice to see that the team is still thinking of ways to keep fans engaged.
Minnesota Twins add new logo patch to road jersey sleeves for 2026 season
Sitting on the shoulder on the right arm of the jersey, the Twins will be rocking a circular patch that says "Since 1961" on it in gray lettering. Next to the 1961 print, there are two small red north stars, which can represent the Twin Cities.

This is a nice balance to the bright green Securian Financial patch emblazoned on the other shoulder. This one is a calmer, more endearing piece — which fans can appreciate. Sometimes it's not always about money. This new patch is to honor the team itself and its original season. It definitely gives off the vibe of Minnesota's uniforms from the 1960s and 1970s. Vintage. It's a nice touch.
Though the two uniform additions/changes are minor, we welcome the Twins to do more of this. It keeps things fresh for the fans, and it gives the notion that the team is not just looking to sell out advertisements. Balance is good.
