The Minnesota Twins are giving fans more than a few reasons to come out to Target Field for an important 10-game homestand.

The Twins started the June promotions off by partying like it was 1999 with Prince Night on Thursday that made everyone go crazy. For Prince Night, the first 5,000 fans received a Prince baseball hat, but that wasn’t all. The Twins also brought out a brand-new Prince-themed home run celebration.

The theme night worked well as the total attendance was 23,229 fans, above the teams season average of 20,550, which ranks near the bottom of the league. Those fans in attendance saw a Twins win, as they defeated the Oakland A’s 6-2 behind a strong performance from Joe Ryan, who improved to 5-5 on the season.

For fans disappointed they missed Prince Night, don’t worry, the Twins have more exciting promos coming up soon.

June 15, Pride Day

Tomorrow, the Twins will have their Pride Day. For Pride Day, the Twins will be giving a Pride-themed Twins T-shirt to the first 10,000 fans who make their way to Target Field.

The Twins will be playing the Oakland A’s again and hope for a similar performance to their one on Prince Night. The Twins even have a third theme day planned for the Oakland A’s series.

June 16, Father’s Day

Father’s Day and baseball always seem to go together. This year, the Twins will offer giveaways to fans of all ages.

On Father’s Day, The Twins will give out a Twins golf shirt to the first 5,000 adult fans, and for the kid fans, they will give out matching T-shirts to fans who are 12 and under.

If any of these giveaways interest you, you might want to consider getting to the ballpark early as supplies are limited.

Time will tell if the theme days continue to increase attendance, but the Twins have some cool themes coming up.
