The Pohlad family announced that they are remaining the principal owners of the Twins moving forward.
This certainly wasn't the outcome most fans expected, but there is a wrinkle to the Pohlad family remaining the principal owners. The family will be adding two limited partnership groups to the ownership structure of the Twins.

Twins ownership drama ends with Pohlad Family’s surprise decision
The status of a potential sale of the Twins has been a talking point since it was revealed during the offseason that Justin Ishbia was walking away from his potential deal to buy the team. In the time since, Ishbia has entered a long-term agreement with the Chicago White Sox.
The decision from the Pohlad family is also an indictment of how the front office has operated before the trade deadline. Dating back to the deadline of last season, it seemed that Derek Falvey and company were avoiding taking on any large contracts, despite the Twins having a clear path to the postseason last season at the deadline. This year, dumping Carlos Correa's salary on the Houston Astros felt like final confirmation that the Pohlad family was getting ready to abandon ship.
Now, at least, the impression is that Falvey will be allowed to oversee the rebuild of the Twins at the Major League roster. The Twins have also already exercised the option in Rocco Baldelli's contract for the 2026 season. In other words, the sweeping changes that many Twins fans were hoping for won't be happening this offseason.
