Lots of representation from this division.

The 2025 season was brutal for the Minnesota Twins. Their .432 winning percentage was second-worst in the American League, their star pitcher is littered in the mix of trade rumors, and now, all of their division rivals walked home with some hardware.

On Sunday night, Rawlings released the 2025 Gold Glove Award winners. There are AL Central named up and down the list, making up for half of the awards. Ty France, who didn't even end the season with Minnesota, was the lone Twin to grab a Gold Glove, but it cannot be fully paraded because he was traded to the Blue Jays.

Four other AL Central stud defenders were handed a Gold Glove Award. Bobby Witt Jr. and Maikel Garcia were tabbed to the list from the Royals, while Dillon Dingler from the Tigers and Steven Kwan from the Guardians were also given Gold Glove Awards.

That's a lot of representation from the AL Central, but hardly any from the Twins.

AL Central well-represented among 2025 Gold Glove Award winners

Not that receiving a Gold Glove Award is the end-all, be-all, but to see all of the other teams from this division get honored hurts a little bit more. Ty France's honor is difficult to celebrate. He played 101 games with Minnesota, then was shipped to Toronto to vie for a World Series. He isn't really a Twin, so this Gold Glove Award doesn't feel like it is for this organization.

All hope will be put on Byron Buxton for the Minnesota Twins to garner an award. He is a finalist for the Silver Slugger Award after posting 35 home runs, 21 doubles, and seven triples. It's a loaded field in the American League, highlighted by likely MVP Aaron Judge, but Buxton has a chance at collecting his first-ever Silver Slugger.
