The Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies are set to play in the third iteration of the Field of Dreams Game in Dyersville, Iowa, at a field adjacent to the site of the iconic 1989 movie at 6:30 p.m. CDT tonight. The matchup will be available to watch on Netflix. Unfortunately, it looks like there's a strong possibility the game won't be played tonight.
My official Field of Dreams report from Iowa… find some rain gear and ponchos if attending. It’s not going to be that magical kind of night w/WhiteSox vs Yankees this year. @MLB this is punishment for not making this a Sox home game event. #GoTheDistance #IsThisHeaven pic.twitter.com/LFi8YnhlBv

Rain and storms are likely through the day today. Some storms could be strong to severe this morning and the Field of Dreams game may be impacted later this evening. https://t.co/MWkPG7V0NN pic.twitter.com/mZsy94bBKE

Field of Dreams Game (Twins vs. Phillies) weather update: Will there be a delay/rainout?
The Twins and Phillies have a scheduled off day on Friday before the series resumes in Minneapolis on Saturday. If the Field of Dreams Game is unable to be played tonight, there's a chance they could play on Friday instead.
The tarp was on the field earlier today, but it was recently removed, according to The Athletic's Dan Hayes.

According to MLB.com's Paul Casella, there is no tarp on the field, and the Twins and Phillies will proceed with batting practice as planned. MLB will meet with weather experts and both teams around 5 p.m. CDT.
There is no tarp on the field and the current plan is for Phillies and Twins to proceed with BP as planned.

⚾️☔️ Pretty pleased with model trends in Dyersville Iowa for the Field of Dreams game. Heavy stuff likely holds well South, and I’m not expecting more than a few sprinkles over the ballpark.

On Tuesday night, the St. Paul Saints and Iowa Cubs played at the Field of Dreams. Iowa defeated St. Paul 6-3.
The first-ever MLB Field of Dreams Game (2021) was about as iconic as it gets. Capping off a back-and-forth battle between the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox, Tim Anderson hit a two-run walk-off home run for Chicago.
A FIELD OF DREAMS IT WAS!✨

In the second MLB Field of Dreams Game, the Chicago Cubs defeated the Cincinnati Reds in Aug. 2022. Tonight's game (if it's played) between the Twins and Phillies will be the third MLB Field of Dreams Game in history.
