We at Puckett's Pond wanted to highlight parts of the home schedule that you may want to make plans to visit Target Field, or at minimum, watch the Twins on Twins.tv.

April 3: Home Opener

This is the Twins' Home Opener vs. the Houston Astros. The year is starting, so make sure to pack Target Field against Carlos Correa's former team for the first home series of the year!

If you haven't seen Soto play baseball, stopping by Target Field on these dates will be a must-see when the Twins face the Mets. Soto signed a record 15-year, $765 million deal with the Mets, who will be vying for an NL East title this year and looking to make the World Series for the first time since 2015.

April 25-27: Mike Trout and the Angels visit Target Field

If you want to see another great player, provided he is healthy, Trout and the Angels come to town at the end of April. While Trout may not be what he used to be, he is still a top player in baseball and is a ton of fun to watch play. Trout won the All-Star game MVP when Target Field hosted in 2014.

May 19-25: Division Rivals and Promotions

This is a key homestand for the Twins, where they will play host to division rivals in the Guardians and Royals in back-to-back three-game series. A few highlights from this six-game homestand include:

  • Monday, May 19 - Bark in the Park (for all you dog lovers out there)
  • Friday, May 23 - Star Wars Night
  • Saturday, May 24 - Royce Lewis City Connect Bobblehead giveaway

June 6-8: #oldfriendalert

Jose Berrios and the Toronto Blue Jays will be in town. Depending on where the Blue Jays are in their rotation, you may even see the Twins face Berrios in a visit back to Minnesota.

June 20-22: Border Battle

A border battle with the Milwaukee Brewers in mid-June, what a great way to spend a summer weekend! At long last, matchups with the Brewers are on the weekend after some years of facing the neighbors in the middle of the week. Expect to see a lot of Brewers fans at Target Field on this weekend, but it's always a fun weekend when the Brewers come to visit.

You can also watch the Twins in Milwaukee on the weekend of May 16-18 if you want to make the five-hour trek down I-94 to Milwaukee.

June 23-26: #oldfriendsalert (pt. II)

Jorge Polanco, Mitch Garver, and Donovan Solano will be in town with the Seattle Mariners, so if you enjoy watching former Twins, this will be a must-attend series for you.

July 11-13: Last Weekend Before All-Star Game Festivities

A fun last weekend before the All-Star break is planned at Target Field while the Pittsburgh Pirates (and former Twins bench coach Derek Shelton) are in town. Here are some highlights from that weekend:

  • Friday (July 11): A post-game concert (hip-hop artist TBD) will be held.
  • Saturday (July 12): Byron Buxton Bobblehead (w/sound) giveaway.
  • Sunday (July 13): Barbie Game Day, so expect to see lots of pink at the ballpark!

July 25-27: Fun Weekend vs. the Nationals

Another fun weekend is planned while the Washington Nationals are in town. Here are some highlights from that weekend:

  • Friday (July 25): Postgame Drone Show
  • Saturday (July 26): Bailey Ober City Connect Jersey giveaway
  • Sunday (July 27): Kids Back-to-School Backpack giveaway

Aug. 15-17: Post-Game Concert and Corey Koskie Weekend

A country postgame concert will start off the weekend after the game on Friday, Aug. 15. Sunday's game will start later than the scheduled 1:10 pm time due to former Twins third baseman Corey Koskie being inducted into the Twins Hall of Fame.

Koskie was a member of the Twins for seven seasons and a key part of the early 2000s teams that re-energized the fan base and held off contraction.

Koskie's best year was in 2001 when he hit .276/.362/.588 and was worth 6.3 WAR.

Aug. 29-31: #oldfriendalert (pt. III) and Some Fun Promotions

Former Twin Luis Arraez and the Padres will be coming to town that weekend, and some fun promotions will also be happening!

  • Friday (Aug. 29): Nickelodeon/SpongeBob Night
  • Saturday (Aug. 30): Joe Mauer Replica Statue giveaway (first 10,000 fans)
  • Sunday (Aug. 31): Kids "Squishie" Pillow giveaway (first 5,000 kids 12 and under)

Sept. 12-21: Last Homestand and the Final Stretch

The Twins will conclude their regular season home games by hosting the Diamondbacks, Yankees and Guardians. This nine-game homestand could be a key part of the schedule and help secure the Twins a spot in the playoffs.

The weekend series with the Guardians to finish the homestand will be Fan Appreciation weekend, too, so there will be a hat giveaway on those days.

And hopefully, there will be playoff baseball at Target Field in October, but some of you might feel like this after last year's end to the season:
