One Last Thing

Today is the birthday of former Twin Eric Milton. Milton was one of the pieces the Twins received in one of the biggest building trades in the history of the franchise, the trade that sent Chuck Knoblauch to the New York Yankees for Milton, Brian Buchanan, Cristian Guzman, and Danny Mota. That trade set up the Twins 2000s excellent teams with the starting shortstop and Milton in the rotation.

After 6 seasons with the Twins at the major league level, including 57 wins, 987 1/3 innings, and 715 strikeouts, Milton ended up being the key piece himself in a productive trade for the Twins. He was traded to Philadelphia for Nick Punto, Carlos Silva, and Bobby Korecky.
