One Last Thing
The Twins and Dodgers playing brings back memories for some of the 1965 World Series. The Twins jumped out to a 2 games to none lead before the Dodgers took the next 3 games. The Twins won game 6 to force a game 7, but the Dodgers finished out the series with a 2-0 win in game 7.
The Twins offense really struggled, but Harmon Killebrew and Zoilo Versalles each hit .286, Harmon with a .873 OPS and Versalles with a .833 OPS for the series.
Sandy Koufax dominated for the Dodgers in three starts, throwing 24 innings, posting a 0.38 ERA, and striking out 29 hitters.
