Minnesota Twins can’t win in spite of hitting four homers and holding the lead 3 times.
The Minnesota Twins landed in the loss column again. It wasn’t for lack of chances. They had the lead at multiple points during the game and coughed it up each time.
The game was a home run derby. The Twins hit four home runs and the Indians, two.
The loss now drops the Twins to 8-26. They are now 15 games back of the division leading White Sox.

Ricky Nolasco got the start for the Twins and lasted 6 innings. He limited baserunners well but his bane was the long ball. He allowed two of them and was charged with 4 earned runs.
Ryan Pressly and Fernando Abad combined for a clean 7th inning but Trevor May encountered trouble in the 8th.
He allowed three earned runs in 0.2 innings of work and was saddled with a blown save and a loss. Marlon Byrd hit a go ahead 2 run double and Juan Uribe added the eventual game winning RBI.
The offense put 6 runs on the board and, as mentioned above, helped the Twins pull ahead three times in the game. They nearly were able to tie the game in the 9th but Indians’ closer, Cody Allen, left a runner at third to end the game.
