Twins Uprising is a weekly article that takes at how the top four Minnesota Twins prospects are performing in the minor leagues.
1. Alex Meyer made two appearances out of the bullpen for Triple-A Rochester this week. In his first appearance he pitched a perfect inning and recorded two strikeouts. In his second appearance he gave up two earned runs and recorded two strikeouts.
2. Jose Berrios had his best start for Triple-A Rochester this week. In his third start for the Red Wings, Berrios pitched seven innings and gave up two runs on three hits and recorded nine strikeouts. His first two starts since being promoted from Double-A were shaky, so it was nice to see Berrios bounce back with a solid outing.
3. Nick Gordon currently owns a 17-game hitting streak. In his last 10 games the shortstop is hitting .372 with 8 RBIs. How long will the streak continue? If he continues to progress at the plate, Gordon could skyrocket up the Twins farm system.
4. Kohl Stewart recorded his fifth straight quality start for Class-A Advanced Fort Meyers. He pitched six innings and gave up two runs on five hits. On the season Stewart is 4-5 with a 3.26 earned run average.
With the trade deadline approaching, it would not be surprising to see one of these four players traded. It would be shocking if Berrios was dealt, as many within the Twins organization believes he has the best stuff among any pitcher in the organization. But, the other three prospects are all on the table and the Twins could move one or all of them for the right deal.
