The Minnesota Twins Double-A team had seven players named to the Southern League North Division All-Star team. The Chattanooga Lookouts are home to six of the Twins top 30 prospects. With all the talent sitting there, it’s really no surprise that seven members of their team got the call.
Byron Buxton is the game’s top prospect. He may not be wearing a Lookouts uniform much longer. He currently leads the league in triples with 11 and runs scores with 42.
Third baseman, Miguel Sano is the Twins number two prospect. Sano has hit 10 home runs. He’s missed time recently with a finger injury.
The Twins number four prospect, Jose Berrios is 7-3 on the year with a 3.21 earned run average. Berrios leads the league in strikeouts with 77.
Infielder, Jorge Polanco is the Twins number seven prospect. He is currently hitting .315 with 11 doubles, four home runs and 26 RBIs.
Outfielder, Adam Brett Walker leads the league in home runs and RBIs. Sano gets attention for his power, but Walker’s raw power can’t be denied.
Relief pitcher, Zach Jones is the Twins 23rd rated prospect. He is 3-1 with a 2.25 earned run average and eight saves.
Before landing on the disabled list, starting pitcher, D.J. Baxendale was 3-1 with a 3.47 earner run average. He hasn’t pitches since May 30.
