Fernando Abad took over with the Twins down 4-1 in the 6th and threw a scoreless inning. Casey Fien handled the 7th allowing a walk and nothing more. Ryan Pressly handled a scoreless 8th.
Offensively, the Twins first got on the board in the 3rd when Joe Mauer hit a sac fly to score Byron Buxton. Trevor Plouffe added the other Twins’ run with a solo home run in the 6th.
Unfortunately, that’s all the offense that the Twins were able to manage on the night. It was the second straight game they scored just 2 runs.
