After just one half inning, Game 2 of a three-game series between the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park has entered a rain delay. Yesterday's game was also delayed for about two hours.

Austin Martin led off the game with a strikeout. Byron Buxton then walked before Brooks Lee grounded into a double play to end the frame. It's not an ideal situation for Tigers left-hander Framber Valdez, who pitched the first inning. Meanwhile, Twins' scheduled starter Mike Paredes was warming up in between the top and bottom of the first inning, according to The Athletic's Dan Hayes.
Since Valdez already pitched an inning, there's a good chance he won't be able to pitch anymore today, which would force the Tigers to pivot to a bullpen game. Paredes should still be able to start as planned in a presumed bullpen game for Minnesota.
Update: Game expected to resume at 6:55 p.m. CDT
