Simeon Woods Richardson reinstated from 15-day injured list, Pierson Ohl demoted to Triple-A St. Paul

The Twins have reinstated right-handed starting pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson from the 15-day injured list, the team announced. He will make the start in the Twins' series finale against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on Wednesday. Minnesota demoted right-handed pitcher Pierson Ohl, who has a 5.66 ERA with 16 strikeouts and four homers allowed in 20 2/3 innings with the Twins this season, to Triple-A St. Paul as a corresponding move.

The Twins placed Woods Richardson, who has a 4.24 ERA with 69 strikeouts and 35 walks for Minnesota this season, on the 15-day IL with an illness on Aug. 4, which led to him undergoing a procedure to remove a parasite from his digestive tract. He had two rehab appearances with Triple-A St. Paul, surrendering three earned runs on six hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

Twins ace Pablo López made second rehab start with Triple-A St. Paul

Pablo López, who has been sidelined with a right shoulder strain since early June, made his second start of his current rehab assignment for the Saints on Tuesday, allowing three earned runs on six hits (one home run) and zero walks while striking out five in four innings (68 pitches) against the Toledo Mud Hens as the Saints won 5-4. López was opposed on the mound by former Twin Randy Dobnak, who gave up two earned runs with eight strikeouts in five innings.

In his first start of his current rehab assignment, López allowed one run on four hits and one walk with two strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings last week.

Twins' top prospect Walker Jenkins makes Triple-A debut

In the same game López made the start on the mound against Randy Dobnak, the Twins' No. 1 prospect, outfielder Walker Jenkins, made his Triple-A debut.

In his Saints debut, Jenkins, playing center field and batting second in the lineup, went 0-for-4 with one run scored after reaching on a fielder's choice.

Jenkins, 20, hit .309/.426/.487 in 235 plate appearances for Double-A Wichita this season.

After clearing waivers, Ramírez, who has a 2.45 ERA (5.12 FIP) in 11 innings for Minnesota this season, accepted an assignment to Triple-A St. Paul, according to the Athletic's Dan Hayes.
