The Minnesota Twins signed veteran reliever Austin Voth to a minor-league deal, according to the team's transaction log. The Twins assigned Voth, 33, to Triple-A St. Paul. He pitched six innings across two appearances with the Blue Jays this season, allowing six earned runs on eight hits and five walks.

In 366 career MLB innings, Voth has posted a 4.77 ERA with 344 strikeouts and 134 walks. Just two seasons ago, the veteran posted a solid 3.69 ERA with 61 strikeouts and 18 walks in 61 innings for the Seattle Mariners. Voth has also logged innings with the Washington Nationals and the Baltimore Orioles. He spent most of his career (2018-22) with Washington.

Voth relies on six pitches: a mid-80s cutter, a low-90s four-seamer, a mid-70s curveball, a high-80s sweeper, a low-90s sinker and a mid-80s split finger.

In addition to Voth, the Twins signed two more right-handed pitchers to minor-league deals

The Minnesota Twins signed right-handed pitchers Hunter Gregory and Jake Covey to minor-league deals. The Twins assigned Gregory to Double-A Wichita. After spending five seasons (2021-25) in the Toronto Blue Jays organization, Gregory made 12 appearances for the Atlantic League's York Revolution this season, posting a 2.63 ERA with 20 strikeouts in 13 2/3 innings. While his results with the Revolution this year were solid, it's worth noting that he had a poor 1.463 WHIP.

Gregory, 27, put up strong stats for Toronto's Double-A affiliate last season, posting a 2.84 ERA with a 25.1% strikeout rate in 44 1/3 innings. However, he struggled in Triple-A, recording a 14.29 ERA with a 18.8% strikeout rate and a 25.0% walk rate in 11 1/3 innings. The Blue Jays released Gregory in March, then he signed a deal with the Revolution.

Gregory throws five pitches: a low-to-mid-90s four-seam fastball, a high-80s changeup, a low-to-mid-90s sinker, a low-to-mid-80s sweeper and a slider that ranges from the low to the high 80s. Overall, he has a career 5.67 ERA with 264 strikeouts and 112 walks over 230 1/3 innings in the minors.

Covey, 24, had been pitching with Glacier in the Pioneer League. He posted a 1.50 ERA with 14 strikeouts and two walks in 12 innings across two starts. He spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons with the Division II Concordia Eagles, recording a 3.03 ERA with 188 strikeouts and 41 walks in 163 1/3 innings over 24 appearances (22 games).
