Twins prospect Dasan Hill just made Baseball America’s top 100
Left-handed pitcher Dasan Hill, 19, is listed at No. 85 in Baseball America’s May update of top 100 prospects. It’s the first time Hill, who the Twins selected out of Grapevine High School in Texas with the 69th overall pick in the 2024 draft, made the list.
Hill's fastball averaged 93-95 mph when drafted but has consistently hit 97 this year. His best pitch is a high-spin rate sweeper. He also throws a solid curveball and decent changeup.
Hill has impressed in limited action in the minor leagues
Hill’s recognition from Baseball America came despite the Twins’ lefty pitching prospect only having 12 professional innings under his belt, all this season for Single-A Fort Myers. He sports a 1.50 ERA with 21 strikeouts, two hits and five walks.

Other Twins prospects rise and fall in Baseball America’s new rankings
Two other Twins prospects received good news in Baseball America’s May update. Luke Keaschall, who is currently on the Injured List with a right forearm fracture, rose from No. 43 to No. 32, and Zebby Matthews, who has a 1.93 ERA with 38 strikeouts in 32 ⅔ innings for Triple-A St. Paul this season, jumped from No. 68 to No. 46.
On the downside for Minnesota, its two top prospects dropped in rankings. Walker Jenkins, who has only played in two games this season due to a left ankle sprain, fell from No. 5 to No. 11, and Emmanuel Rodriguez, who has a .233/.377/.337 slash line with two homers for the Saints this year, went from No. 19 to No. 25.
Twins set to play in doubleheader with Baltimore Orioles
After Monday’s scheduled game was rained out, the Twins and Orioles will compete in a doubleheader at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Wednesday. Game 1 is scheduled to start at 11:05 CST, and Game 2 is expected to start 30 minutes after the first game ends.
