Former Twin Jhoan Durán exits Phillies' game against Nationals Friday
Durán, whom the Twins traded to the Phillies in exchange for prospects starting pitcher Mick Abel and catcher Eduardo Tait on July 30, was carted off the field on Friday night after getting hit near his right foot/ankle with a 94.1 mph line drive off the bat of Nationals third baseman Paul DeJong in the ninth inning of Philadelphia's 6-2 win against Washington. Durán was replaced by reliever David Robertson, who managed to seal the victory for the Phillies, who own the second-best record in the National League (70-52) behind the red-hot Milwaukee Brewers and lead the National League East by six games over the New York Mets.

According to MLB's Drew McDonald, Durán's X-rays were negative, but the extent of the injury is still unknown. He will receive further testing on Saturday, the Phillies announced.
Durán has been spectacular since joining Philadelphia, collecting four saves and allowing zero runs across four innings in five outings. This season, he has a 1.86 ERA with 56 strikeouts over 53 1/3 innings.
Durán is the second reliever who was a part of the Twins' trade deadline sell-off to suffer an injury with their new team; the Los Angeles Dodgers placed former Minnesota reliever Brock Stewart, whom the Twins traded to the Dodgers in exchange for outfielder James Outman on July 31, on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation on Tuesday. Stewart had a 4.91 ERA with three strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings across four appearances with the Dodgers before suffering the injury.
Update:
Just saw Jhoan Duran. Says he feels “100%.” Not limping.

Twins aim to avoid series loss against Tigers
After dropping Games 1 and 2 of the four-game set against the Detroit Tigers at Target Field, the Twins are set to play Game 3 of the series at 6:15 p.m. CST on Saturday.
