Watch Twins vs. Rays Spring Breakout game live on Puckett's Pond
The Twins will be participating in the MLB Spring Breakout series in 2024 and you can watch the game for free right here.
Part of the reason that the Minnesota Twins have been able to hang around the playoff picture in recent years has been due to their success in growing talent down in the minor leagues. With the number of top end prospects that the Twins have had and continue to have, Minnesota fans have become uniquely tuned into the goings on in their farm system.
Heading into 2024, most would think that other than some cameo appearances that happen in spring training, folks would have to wait for the start of the minor league season to truly see the Twins' top guys like Walker Jenkins in action. However, with MLB introducing the Spring Breakout prospect showcase series of games in mid-March, Minnesota fans will be able to see an organizational prospect All-Star team take on the Rays' own prospect squad much sooner than that.
In even better news, Twins fans can watch the game right here at Puckett's Pond for free.
MLB Spring Breakout: What to expect from Twins vs. Rays
The Spring Breakout series was started this year by MLB to highlight the up and coming stars throughout the league. Teams including the Twins were instructed to make rosters that included as many Top 30 prospects as possible, with the Twins' Spring Breakout roster consisting of 16 of the Twins' top 30 prospects. That includes the top four of Walker Jenkins, Brooks Lee, Emmanuel Rodriguez, and Gabriel Gonzalez. The rules for the game have been modified to shorten the contests a bit to seven innings with no extras, but the rest is pretty straightforward.
The Twins will take on the Rays' prospect squad on Saturday, March 16 at 4:05 PM EST/3:05 PM CST. Thanks to our new partnership with the fine folks at STN, fans can watch the game right on this page for free, as a player will be embedded closer to the actual date of the game, so make sure you bookmark this page and come back next Saturday to see the Twins' top young players in action.
