The Miami Marlins picked up a win on Tuesday night behind a dazzling complete game shutout from Sandy Alcantara, but their offense has struggled mightily to start the 2023 season.

The Marlins have scored one or fewer runs in three of their six games this season, and now they have to face former Marlin Pablo Lopez and the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday.

Lopez was solid in his first start of the season, and he’ll take on lefty Jesus Luzards, who tossed 5.2 innings of scoreless ball in his first start of the 2023 season.

Which team has the edge in what may be a pitchers duel in Miami?

Twins vs. Marlins prediction and pick

There’s one bet to make in this game and it’s the UNDER.

Luzardo is one of Miami’s better starters, and this is the perfect way to fade a Marlins offense that has scored just 12 runs through six games so far this season.

Miami hasn’t put up more than three runs in a game yet this season.

Lopez and Luzardo are both solid enough starters to keep this game low-scoring early, and I trust the Miami bullpen to hang on, as the team has one of the better team ERAs in the league so far this season.

The 11-run game for Minnesota earlier in this series looks like the anomaly, so I’ll take the UNDER this afternoon.
