Rangers vs. Twins prediction and odds for Friday, Aug. 25 (Sonny Gray is the truth)
The Minnesota Twins have a 6.0 game lead on the AL Central while holding the fourth easiest remaining schedule in the Majors. They're in a great spot to clinch a playoff berth and a cherry on top would be a series win against the Texas Rangers this weekend.
They already one the series opener on Thursday, can they follow it up with another win tonight?

Rangers vs. Twins odds, run line, and total
Rangers vs. Twins prediction and pick
The Twins are hot lately, and they're catching the Rangers at a time where they're starting to cool off a bit. Since the All-Star Break, no offense in the American League has been hotter than Minnesota's, ranking first in the league in OPS (.811) in that time span.
The Rangers, meanwhile, rank eighth in that stat at .785. Those are still solid numbers, but they aren't as good as they were in the first half of the season when they were scoring runs at will.
Texas will be rolling with Dane Dunning in this start and I still don't fully trust him despite his strong 3.19 ERA. His FIP (Field Independent Pitching) of 4.06 indicates that there could be some regression coming for the righty.
Meanwhile, Sonny Gray continues to be one of the most underrated pitchers in all of baseball. His 3.15 ERA is supported by his 2.78 FIP, which is the best in the American League.
Give me the Twins to beat the Rangers for the second straight night.
