Minnesota Twins theme nights: June 2023
June sees the return of what might be the best annual theme night the Twins roll out: Prince Night. Ever since his passing back in 2016, Minnesota sports teams have made sure to incorporate Prince into the fabric of their being. The Vikings use Let's Go Crazy as their touchdown song -- something the Wild also do for their goal song from time to time -- while the Timberwolves find ways to blend Prince's love of basketball into their DNA as well.
The Twins have held an annual Prince Night for years now, with each giveaway ranking among the best of that season. There was the purple Prince button-down jersey, the inflatable Prince guitar, and the Prince bomber jacket, just to name a few. Now the Twins are adding an awesome Prince cloud hoodie to the collection.
Another highlight of June is the Pride Night Jersey, which might give the Prince hoodie a run for its money. The jersey is black, not unlike the Minnesota United FC jersey but rather than the baby blue colors, the Twins logo is filled with LGBTQ+ rainbow colors.
The other theme nights have their charm, but those two stand above the rest.
