After a long and frustrating winter, Minnesota Twins baseball is officially back and Spring Training is underway.

It was admittedly annoying to see the Twins sours the vibes established by the team's best postseason run since 2002, but there's no use in looking back in anger when the future ahead seems to be so bright.

While Minnesota didn't spend much this offseason, there's plenty to get excited about in terms of new additions coming up through the farm system. Austin Martin has long been expected to be part of the Opening Day lineup while Brooks Lee continues to exceed expectations and is on track to get called up before the summer months arrive.

Replacing Sonny Gray was a key goal that wasn't accomplished, but the Twins have high hopes for guys like Chris Paddack, Bailey Ober, and the newly acquired Anthony DeSclafani. Speaking of prospects, pitchers like David Festa and Matt Canterino could use their time at Spring Training to prove they deserve a spot in the mix as well, alongside Louie Varland and Simeon Woods Richardson.

It wasn't the offseason most fans wanted to see, but there's still plenty to get excited about as Twins baseball finally returns to our lives.

Minnesota Twins Spring Training TV schedule 2024

If you thought regular season Twins games were hard to find, buckle up for the journey of trying to watch the team during Spring Training. To be fair, there's less emphasis on airing these games than the ones that count, but it's still far less easy than it should be.

Not for nothing but this would be where the Twins having their own direct-to-consumer network might come in handy, but that's a battle for another day.

Bally Sports North will be airing eight games over the next month, but not all of them will be BSN productions. Cory Provus will make his debut as the Twins' TV announcer on March 20th, but that will technically be the fifth game to air.

The first four will be simulcasts with the regional network for the opposing team. For example, the first televised game will be on March 12th against the Tigers, but it will be the Bally Sports Detroit feed that is broadcast on Bally Sports North.

Here's the complete Spring Training schedule, and how to catch each game:

Surprisingly, not every game will be on the radio. Kris Atteberry will make his debut on February 23rd in the game against the University of Minnesota, but five of the other 23 games will not be broadcast on radio.

One of those games is a split squad day on March 13th, when the Twins play both St. Louis and Detroit. Another will be Minnesota's final game of Spring Training, which makes sense as far as making sure everyone gets some time before the grind of the season starts on Opening Day three days later.
