Tuesday night was decidely more fun than how the last week has gone for the Minnesota Twins.

Minnesota's slumping offense put up double digits on the Washington Nationals in a 10-0 win that had all the vibes of the way things were earlier in the month. The Twins ripped off a 12-game winning streak, the offense was on fire, and the team finally felt like it had found its groove.

Then a seven game losing streak harshed everyone's buzz, but Tuesday's win gives the team an opportunity to get things back on track.

It'll be Simeon Woods Richardson (1-0, 2.97 ERA) on the mound for Wedensday's afternoon affair in D.C., which gives him a chance to channel the bounce back vibes better than most. Woods Richardson only mustered up a two strikeouts in a 3-2 loss to Cleveland last Friday, but he was far more solid than his box score indicates.

He's had a few bad starts this year, but for the most part Woods Richardson seems to have settled into a role in the rotation that everyone was hoping he would. His good starts outweigh the tougher ones, and even starts like the one he had in Cleveland last week are indications that he's starting to figure things out.

While he only had two strikeouts, the loss wasn't on him and Wodds Richardson allowed just a single run on four hits. That's the trend Twins fans want to see, as the run support not being there is out of SWR's hands.

Putting in a good start on Wedensday against the Nationals -- a team he was beat up against in his lone apperance last season -- would go a long way.

For Washington, Jake Irvin (2-4, 3.91 ERA) will try to stunt the good vibes Minnesota started to robustly build last night.
