Minnesota Twins probable pitchers & starting lineup vs. Chicago White Sox, May 1
The Twins are going to a 10th straight win on Monday afternoon in Chicago.
Give the Chicago White Sox some credit, as they've managed to make the Minnesota Twins sweat these last two games.
Unlike the blowout nature of their first series, the Twins have had to fight back in both of the games so far this series, needing late surges to power past Chicago. The good news is that the wins haven't felt strenuous, as Minnesota's offense has more or less effortlessly found ways to come alive and get the job done, which is a big reason why the winning streak has reached nine games.
All signs point toward it turning into an even ten straight wins on Wednesday afternoon.
Twins vs. White Sox probable starting pitchers, May 1
Bailey Ober (2-1, 4.21 ERA) will be on the mound for the Twins hoping to keep the winning streak going. If it happens, Minnesota will have swept three straight series, and it would hopefully mean Ober's third win of the season.
He had a rocky debut against the Royals at the start of April, but he has a chance to end the month i na much more stable place. That's where the Twins need him to be too, as they're relying on him now more than ever to be that third starter who can lock down the front end of the rotation.
So far Ober has started to settle into that role. His last outing against the Angels saw him strikeout out eight batters. and finish the night having allowed two runs on three hits. Perhaps more importantly, he pitched 7.1 innings which is the exact type of production needed from him as the Twins attempt to replace what they lost in Sonny Gray.
Things are boding well for Ober to get some proper run support on Wednesday afternoon. Minnesota's hot offense is going up against Chris Flexen (1-3, 5.11 ERA) who is pitching what might be a bullpen game for the White Sox. He's made three starts this year, but has come in as a reliever twice -- including in Chicago's 7-0 loss to Minnesota last week.

Adjacent to the Twins winning streak is more drama with Diamond Sports Group. On Tuesday night, Comcast released a statement saying that it wouldn't be carrying Bally Sports regional networks any longer due to Diamond Sports Group continuing to be shady.
This means that anyone who has Comcast Xfinity won't be able to watch Bally Sports North. Wednesday's game isn't going to be nationally televised so your best bet is hoping for a streaming option or that MLB Network takes mercy on us all and airs the game locally.
