It wasn't that long ago that Minnesota Twins fans were wondering if the team was broken.

Maybe someone blew on the game cartridge because ever since last Monday the Twins have been on an absolute tear. It helps that they've played games against the White Sox and Angles -- two of the worst teams in baseball -- but good teams are supposed to beat the bad ones.

That's what Minnesota has done, winning its last eight games which matches their best streak since June 2011.

Everything is lining up for the good times to keep rolling. The Twins get another game against Chicago on Tuesday, a night after mounting a comeback to steal a lead late on Monday. Carlos Santana can't stop hitting home runs, Byron Buxton looked like his vintage self, and the power of the lucky sausage seems to be emanating in magical ways.

For the third time this year, Simeon Woods Richardson (1-0, 2.45 ERA) will be on the mound for the Twins. It's a huge start for Woods Richardson, as keeping the winning streak alive is almost secondary to him having another solid outing to prove he belongs in the rotation.

So far so good on that end.

His two last start was a but rockier than his first, as he allowed two runs on seven hits but struck out six batters. It wasn't the prettiest outing but there he continued to show flashes of the guy the Twins have been hoping he'll develop into ever since acquiring him from Toronto back in 2021.

What makes this start even more crucial is that it's the first time a team will be seeing him a second time. Chicago is a little bit fiestier than they were when he faced them last week, but a solid outing from Woods Richardson would make a ninth-straight win even sweeter.

Michael Soroka (0-3, 6.83 ERA) will start for the White Sox hoping to avoid some of the pitfalls he had in his last outing against Minnesota. He pitched pretty well until giving up back-to-back home runs un a 6-3 loss. Minnesota's offense continuing to be on a roll doesn't bode well for him finding a way to rectify his earlier mistakes.
