To get excited for the Minnesota Twins' upcoming 2026 season, the club has officially announced its annual TwinsFest at Target Field.
On January 23 and January 24, fans have the opportunity to meet with players and coaches, as well as shop, eat, and play games. It's a great time time to break up the dullness of the winter

The anticipation is building, but some fans are going to be disappointed by one of the club's stars not officially confirmed to appear at the event. Silver Slugger (and face of the franchise) Byron Buxton is not listed among the players scheduled to appear at TwinsFest.
What does this say for Buxton's relationship with the Twins?

Other Twins favorites among fans like Pablo López, Joe Ryan, Luke Keaschall, and Royce Lewis are all on the list for TwinsFest. Newcomer Josh Bell is also listed, as is top prospect Walker Jenkins. But no Buxton.
Listen, we understand that players have other commitments. Maybe he's out of town. Maybe there is a family event during this time. We pass no judgement, but Buxton not on the list as part of the organization's official announcement of TwinsFest does raise some red flags. He is the best player on the team, and you will probably see a ton of Byron Buxton jerseys and t-shirts at this event. It will be a bummer if he does not show.
Who knows, the stud outfielder may still be working out his schedule to try and make it. However, amidst an offseason where trade rumors swirled around Buxton, having him not on the list to appear at TwinsFest will organically have fans questioning if he is happy in Minnesota. Hopefully he is. Hopefully he is a late addition to the scheduled list of guests.
