When Kirby Puckett hit a walk-off home run in Game 6 of the 1991 World Series, play-by-play announcer Jack Buck delivered an iconic call.

"And we'll see you tomorrow night!"

As we all know, the Twins went on to win the World Series with a 1-0, 10-inning Game 7 victory.

Buck's call is still being referenced to this day.

In Game 6 of the 2002 World Series, Los Angeles Angels closer Troy Percival struck out San Francisco Giants shortstop Rich Aurilia to give the Angels a 6-5 win, forcing a Game 7. Joe Buck, the son of Jack Buck, referenced his dad's legendary 1991 call.

"We'll see you tomorrow night!"

The Angels then won Game 7.

In 2004, David Ortiz hit a walk-off home run in Game 4 of the ALCS, keeping the Red Sox alive. Joe Buck referenced his dad's call again.

"We'll see you later tonight!"

Boston completed the ALCS comeback by winning the next three games. The Red Sox then won the World Series for the first time in 86 years.

Joe Buck referenced his dad's call in another iconic game roughly seven years later when David Freese hit a walk-off home run in World Series Game 6 after tying the game with a two-run triple in the ninth inning.

"We will see you tomorrow night!"

Joe Buck no longer calls the World Series, as the legendary broadcaster now focuses on football for ESPN. Instead, Joe Davis, also the Los Angeles Dodgers' play-by-play announcer, calls the World Series. Davis has been calling World Series games since 2022.

Jack Buck's iconic call from Twins-Braves World Series referenced in Rays' Game 4 win over Brewers

Even with Joe Buck no longer calling Fall Classic games, his dad's iconic call lives on. In Game 4 of the World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday (which technically ended on a Wednesday in Florida), Ben Williamson delivered a pinch-hit, walk-off single in the 12th inning to keep the Rays' season alive. The Brewers now have a 3-1 lead in the series.

As Williamson hit the clutch single, Davis referenced the famous Buck family call.

"We'll see you later tonight!"

Game 5 of the World Series at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. CDT on Wednesday. National League Cy Young favorite Jacob Misiorowski is scheduled to start for the Brewers. The Rays haven't announced their starting pitcher yet. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
