Complete list of Twins’ 2025 MLB Draft picks

  • Round 1, No. 3
  • Round 2, No. 43
  • Competitive Balance Round B, No. 74
  • Round 3, No. 79
  • Round 4, No. 107
  • Round 5, No. 139
  • Rounds 6-20, the Twins will have the No. 4 selection of each round

Twins fans aren't going to want to miss this draft, especially the first round. Minnesota has the No. 3 overall pick, which may be the most interesting selection in the whole draft. There isn't an obvious answer as to who the Twins will select with their first-round pick, but the answer will likely be made for them depending on whom the Chicago White Sox (No. 1 overall pick) and Tampa Bay Rays (No. 2 overall pick) draft in the first round.

Minnesota will most likely select whoever is available among the top three prospects: Fort Worth Christian (TX) shortstop Grady Emerson, UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky or Georgia Tech catcher Vahn Lackey. Emerson, a high schooler, has the highest upside of the three, while Cholowsky and Lackey would be safer picks as proven collegiate players. Minnesota could also go with UC Santa Barbara right-hander Jackson Flora, but it'd be difficult to justify passing on one of the top three draft prospects.

Mock drafts have been all over the place. MLB Pipeline predicts Minnesota will draft Emerson. Baseball America and Kiley McDaniel of ESPN think Minnesota will get Lackey. The Athletic's Keith Law predicts the Twins will select Cholowsky.

All Twins fans can do is just wait for draft day to see which star the team will get with their first-round pick. The other rounds will also be worth watching to see which under-the-radar players the organization adds to its farm system.
