The Twins' season may be over, but that doesn't mean it's time to stop watching baseball. The Wild Card Series is slated to begin on Tuesday, and there are several former Twins position players to keep an eye on throughout the playoffs.

1B Ty France - San Diego Padres
France signed a minor-league deal with the Padres over the offseason after the Twins traded him to the Toronto Blue Jays as part of the Louis Varland deal at last year's trade deadline.
France surprisingly became the Padres' most valuable player per bWAR (4.5) this season, tied with star right fielder Fernando Tatis Jr. France hit .295/.363/.502 with 21 home runs and 72 RBI over 133 games this year. The Padres will host the Chicago Cubs in the NL Wild Card round this week.
2B Luis Arraez - Philadelphia Phillies
Arraez, who played for Minnesota from 2019-22, became the Phillies' starting second baseman after Philadelphia acquired him from the San Francisco Giants before the trade deadline. Arraez suffered a sprained ankle on Thursday night, but it appears he will be ready to play in the playoffs.
MLB.com's Todd Zolecki reported that Arraez was available to pinch-hit on Sunday. However, he hasn't taken any swings since suffering his injury.

Arraez hit .278/.309/.369 over 46 games after being acquired by the Phillies. Philadelphia will play Atlanta in the Wild Card round at Truist Park this week.
OF DaShawn Keirsey Jr. - Atlanta Braves
The Twins designated Keirsey for assignment over the offseason. He cleared waivers, allowing him to sign a minor-league deal with the Braves.
The Braves finally called up Keirsey earlier this month. He has been on the 40-man roster since June, so he will be eligible for the postseason roster. He has had just five at-bats with Atlanta so far.
The Braves haven't announced their postseason roster for the Wild Card round against the Phillies yet, but there's a decent chance he makes the roster as a pinch-runner/defensive replacement. He is a strong defender and stole 40 bases in 43 attempts in the minors this year.
INF Kyle Farmer - Atlanta Braves
Farmer, who played for the Twins from 2023-24, has had just 18 at-bats with the Braves this year. There's a decent chance he won't make the postseason roster, but he will at least be there in the Braves dugout rooting for his team.
C Gary Sánchez - Milwaukee Brewers
Sánchez, who played for the Twins in 2022, hit .209/.239/.422 with 12 home runs and 38 RBI over 87 games with the Brewers this year. He has played catcher in 43 games and first base in eight games this year. He also spent plenty of time as a designated hitter.
The Brewers have a first-round bye in the postseason as the top seed in the National League. Milwaukee will play the winner of the Wild Card Series between the Cubs and Padres in the National League Division Series.
C Christian Vázquez - Houston Astros
Vázquez played for the Twins from 2023-25. This year, he slashed .207/.261/.322 with seven home runs and 25 RBI over 86 games. He has split time with Yainer Diaz behind the plate this year.
Houston will host the Chicago White Sox in the American League Wild Card round this week.
OF LaMonte Wade Jr. - Houston Astros
Wade appeared in just 42 games with Minnesota from 2019-20 before being traded to the San Francisco Giants. San Francisco cut Wade loose during the 2025 season. He began this year with the White Sox organization but was released in June without appearing in a game with Chicago. He signed a contract with Houston on June 4.
Wade hit .205/.308/.346 with four home runs and 19 RBI with Houston this season.
