Here are three Twins position player prospects who are off to hot starts this season
OF Kyler Fedko (Double-A Wichita)
Fedko is in his age-25 season and was the Twins' 12th-round selection in the 2021 draft out of the University of Connecticut. He is off to a terrific start for the Wind Surge; in 16 games with 66 plate appearances, he's hitting .315 with a 1.051 OPS and has gone deep four times. He's also reaching base at a .439 clip. That's a big step forward from last season when he had a .645 OPS over 77 games, also in Double-A with the Wind Surge. Fedko ranks in the top ten at the Double-A level in OBP, SLG and wRC+. On the defensive side, Fedko has spent a decent amount of time in all three outfield spots over the course of his professional career, so it wouldn't be too hard to find him playing time if a promotion to Saint Paul came his way.

3B Billy Amick (High-A Cedar Rapids)
Billy Amick was the Twins' 2nd round selection in the 2024 MLB Draft out of the University of Tennessee. He currently ranks as the Twins' 14th-best prospect on MLB Pipeline. After playing just 18 games last year in Low-A with the Mussels, Amick began this season in High-A with the Kernels. Through his first 19 games and 90 plate appearances, he's hitting .338 with a .919 OPS; he's also reaching base at a .478 clip. In all of High-A, Amick ranks 9th in batting average, 9th in OBP and 12th in wRC+.

OF Carson McCusker (Triple-A St. Paul)
After going undrafted out of Oklahoma State University in 2021, McCusker spent two seasons with the Tri-City Valley Cats of the Frontier League before signing a minor league contract with the Twins midway through the 2023 season. Since then, he has progressed quickly through the Twins system and is now making a strong impression in Triple-A with the Saints. In 22 games and 86 plate appearances this season, McCusker is hitting .316 with a 1.020 OPS. The 6-foot-8, 250-pound slugger has serious power; his six home runs are tied for seventh in all of Triple-A.
You really thought we'd go a day without posting a @carson_mccusker highlight? How about this 110.8 mph RBI double. 2nd in Triple-A with a 95.9 mph exit velocity this season, only behind one of the top prospects in all of baseball, Roman Anthony. Lead 3-1 going to top 2 pic.twitter.com/rvJbATZlGr
