The 2026 All-Star Game at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park will begin at 7:00 p.m. CDT on Tuesday. Fans can watch the game on FOX.
Fans voted in Twins center fielder Byron Buxton as a starting outfielder, but he won't play due to a hip injury. Joe Ryan also earned an All-Star Game nod.
In addition to Buxton and Ryan, three former Twins earned All-Star honors this year.
3 former Twins competing in the 2026 All-Star Game
Philadelphia Phillies RHP Jhoan Duran
The Twins shipped Duran, 28, to the Phillies for right-hander Mick Abel and catching prospect Eduardo Tait at last year's trade deadline. The closer made his MLB debut with Minnesota in 2022 and posted a 2.47 ERA with 292 strikeouts and 74 saves across 223 games for the Twins before being dealt to the Phillies.
Duran finished the 2025 season strong for Philadelphia, recording a 2.18 ERA with 16 saves and 27 strikeouts across 20 2/3 innings. He's been lights-out this year as well, ranking third among all MLB relievers in fWAR (1.9) despite missing over two weeks with an oblique injury. The right-hander boasts a 1.38 ERA with 24 saves and 50 strikeouts in 32 2/3 innings across 34 appearances with Philadelphia this season.
San Francisco Giants 2B Luis Arraez

Arraez, an All-Star reserve, has had an interesting career. The Twins dealt him to the Miami Marlins in the Pablo López trade in the 2022-23 offseason. The Marlins then traded Arraez to the San Diego Padres in May 2024. The former Twin signed a one-year deal with the Giants as a second baseman this past offseason.
Arraez is a four-time All-Star, two-time Silver Slugger and three-time batting champion, yet he had to settle for a one-year deal worth just $12 million for this season. He's already had the best year of his career per fWAR (3.7) with a .330/.269/.460 (127 wRC+) slash line across 91 games. Notably, Arraez has recorded a whopping +10 Outs Above Average in 766 2/3 innings at second this year. Before 2026, he had posted -36 OAA at the position throughout his career. Since he's on a one-year deal on a bad Giants team, Arraez should be one of the top players moved at the trade deadline.
Toronto Blue Jays RHP Louis Varland

While most of the trades from last year's fire sale seem like they will benefit the Twins in the long run, the Varland deal has not aged well so far. Sure, Alan Roden and/or Kendry Rojas could end up playing key roles on the Twins for years to come, but Varland is arguably the best closer in baseball this year and won't be a free agent until 2031.
Varland, a St. Paul native, ranks second among MLB relievers in fWAR (2.2), with only San Diego Padres right-hander Mason Miller ahead of him. In 39 2/3 innings this year, Varland has a 1.10 ERA with 25 saves and 67 strikeouts.
