With the Minnesota Twins finishing the series in Washington, it’s time to look ahead to see what the team needs to do to get ready for the playoffs.

After the Minnesota Twins stumbled in the series finale against the Nationals, the team now has 16 games left before the playoffs begin. In those games, the team has a few things they should take care of before they hopefully play in the American League Divisional Series for the first time in nine years.

In recent weeks, the Twins march toward the postseason has been clouded. Several key cogs have suffered injuries, leaving the Twins thin and hoping to hang on to their lead in the American League Central down the stretch. With a big series against Cleveland this week, we should know more about whether the Twins can make a run.

Regardless, this team looks like a group that could go deep in the playoffs, but first needs to handle these five objectives.
