Series Outlook

The Twins come into this series incredibly banged up, but the Nationals have had their momentum thwarted despite holding onto the second spot in the NL wild card race. While both teams have strong chances of making the postseason, every game counts meaning the Twins will undoubtedly get the best version of the Nationals this weekend.

Meanwhile, the Twins will be looking forward to a chance to put away the Indians this weekend in Cleveland, but will also have their eyes set on winning the series. Unfortunately, their health and the pitching matchups suggest that Minnesota will have its hands full.

Stranger things have happened in baseball, so perhaps the Twins can turn around their fortunes at home and take a series from an interleague opponent. However, the Twins will have their eyes set on the bigger prize as they’ll look to get healthy and that might cost them a pair of games.
