Can the Twins dominate another bad team?

Overall, this has been a fun season. The Twins .672 winning percentage would be a franchise record if the season ended today and their 130 home runs on the year currently leads Major League Baseball and is on pace to obliterate the New York Yankees’ home run record of 267 set just last season.

Even with the Twins not playing picture perfect baseball, it’s still a fun group to watch. With the Royals coming to town this weekend, it could be peak entertainment for the Target Field crowd.

The good news for the Royals is that they’ve done a good job of keeping the ball in the park, allowing just 78 home runs on the season. The bad news is that the Royals’ staff has failed almost everywhere else with the fourth highest ERA (5.13) and WHIP (1.45) in Major League Baseball.

For a team known as the Bomba Squad, there’s a possibility that fans could be in for a letdown if the Royals keep the ball in the park. However, with their recent struggles, the Twins have an excellent chance of padding their divisional resume and take care another team that is below their level.
