The Minnesota Twins have won a game! Against the Royals!

The Minnesota Twins have bested another team in a game of baseball. Not just any team either—one who has had the Twins’ number for a long time.

This is the Twins’ first win against an AL Central opponent this year. They are now 1-17 against their own division. They now have 12 wins overall.

The game featured Minnesota giving up a 3 run lead. We’ve seen that many times this season. However, unlike what we’ve seen, they came back and retook the lead. And then they held it for a win. A comeback and a save all in the same game. Crazy!

Tyler Duffey had the start for the Twins. He lasted 6.2 innings and aside from a 5 run 4th inning, he pitched very well.

He was staked to a 3 run lead early but then allowed the Royals to catch up and move ahead. Duffey was eventually bailed out by his offense.

Trevor May was tasked with getting the last out of the 7th and got a strikeout. Taylor Rogers pitched a clean 8th inning and Kevin Jepsen got his 4th save with an uneventful 9th inning.

The offense had one of its better games putting out 7 runs and coming back from a deficit. They rallied for 4 runs after the Royals pulled ahead. Miguel Sano, Eduardo Nunez and Brian Dozier had home runs for Minnesota.
