The 25 year old Centeno had one hit and two walks in 23 plate appearances last year with the Brewers. He had a very hot spring with the Twins but has cooled off with Rochester. He still has a adequate (for a catcher) .641 OPS in 55 PAs.

The 24 year old Murphy has struggled mightily at the dish with the Minnesota Twins this year. He has just 3 hits and 2 walks in 44 PAs while being solid behind the plate. Murphy has a higher ceiling than Centeno both offensively and defensively but is in a skid right now.

Mastroianni hasn’t played in the majors since 2014 with the Blue Jays. His .577 OPS with AAA this season looks awful but Darin is getting on base at a .330 clip. He provides competent defense at all three outfield positions.

J.R Graham’s 2016 hasn’t gone well. He sports a 10.80 ERA at the major league and AAA levels. Graham was only called up a few days ago but it was never expected to be for long as Ervin Santana was returning shortly. Graham has walked an unsightly 8 batters in just 10 professional innings this year.

O’Rourke has fared better than Graham in 2016 but still hasn’t been very sharp. He has a 4.91 ERA with the Twins and has allowed a run in his one inning of work at the AAA level. It should be noted that against the 9 lefties he faced this year, he hasn’t allowed a hit.

Not many teams are shaking up their rosters yet in the way the Twins just did. However, Minnesota’s hopes are quickly dwindling and their terrible record has forced management to make drastic moves in a last ditch attempt to turn the season around.
