  • Will any Twins get awards hardware at the end of the season?

Jordan: Nolasco for Cy Young? Sano, a gold glover? No, I’d go with Buxton as a gold glover. His bat may not yet be there, but his defense sure is.

Martin: I am almost inclined to say Byung Ho Park for Rookie of the Year. Instead I’ll put my money on Brian Dozier winning a Silver Slugger at second base.

Scott: Silver Slugger and maybe a Gold Glove for Dozier? Rookie of the Year to Park. I’ll go all in on Suzuki and give him a Silver Slugger for catcher. Go big or go home with these predictions, amirite?

Paul: Though I can see the obvious talent on the team, I don’t think we’ll see any hardware come Minnesota’s way at the end of 2016. I think we have some players that could win these awards in years to come, but I don’t think that time has come yet.

Manuel: Plouffe for silver slugger at third.

Mike: No Silver Sluggers, no MVP, no Cy Young, no Gold Gloves, no Manager of the Year, no Hank Aaron’s but not only do Twins have a shot at the Rookie of the Year, they’re the favorites. They have three strong contenders: Byung-ho Park (who I believe shouldn’t qualify ideally), Jose Berrios and Byron Buxton. I’ll go with Byung-ho being older and with more professional experience.

Next: Do you think the Twins make the playoffs?
