The Minnesota Twins clubbed 3 homers to beat the Red Sox in a game cut short by weather
The Minnesota Twins improved to 17-10 on the spring with a 6-2 win over the Red Sox this afternoon.
Tommy Milone started for the Twins and even though the pressure to make the rotation was off, he turned in another quality start.
He allowed 2 runs, 5 hits, 2 walks, 0 home runs and struck out 3 in 6 innings of work.

With the game being cut short by inclement weather, the Twins only needed one other pitcher to close out the game and seal the win.
Glen Perkins pitched the 7th inning, allowed no runs, a walk and was credited with the save.
Brian Dozier and Miguel Sano hit two solo home runs in the bottom of the 1st to put the Twins ahead early. After the Red Sox tied things up, the Twins responded with a Kurt Suzuki home run and a Sano RBI single.
Sano had another RBI single in the 6th and Juan Centeno had an RBI groundout in the 7th. The game was called before the 7th could be completed.

The Twins will face the Toronto Blue Jays tomorrow afternoon at CenturyLink Sports Complex. First pitch is at 12:05 CST. Ervin Santana will get the start the Twins. The game will be broadcast on FSN.
