When will Miguel Sano get the call?
The Twins number two overall prospect was recently named the Southern League Player of the Week for Double-A Chattanooga. Sano hit .588 with two home runs, five doubles, seven RBIs and seven runs.
The power hitting third baseman is hitting .274 with 15 home runs and 48 RBIs on the season. Coming off Tommy John surgery, Sano got off to a slow start, but, it’s safe to say the rust is gone.
The Twins as a team have hit just 64 home runs on the season. Sano’s power will be a welcome site to the Twins lineup. The question is when will he get the call? And what position will the Twins have him playing?
My guess is he will be joining the Twins after the All-Star break and will the designated hitter.
