Kris Johnson just can’t get his first major league victory. Johnson has had multiple opportunities and almost had it on Monday night, but then Casey Fien gave up a tying run that took away the potential victory from Johnson. To top off Johnson’s night he was demoted to Triple-A after the ballgame in order to make room for Yohan Pino.

Pino will be taking the mound tomorrow against the Cleveland Indians.

Johnson being demoted leaves his spot rotation spot open. Johnson’s spot will come up once again on Saturday when the Twins take on the Chicago White Sox at Target Field.

Between now and Saturday, or we can hope for a sooner announcement, Twins Territory will be waiting on pins and needles to see who takes the mound for the squad. Logan Darnell, Trevor May and Ricky Nolasco all look to be viable possibilities. Nolasco, of course, would be coming off the disabled list while Darnell and May would be coming from Triple-A Rochester.

Stay tuned to find out who Terry Ryan and Ron Gardenhire tap as the starter.
