I drove from Wisconsin to central Minnesota in a snowstorm last night, so I’m ready to watch a field of green for a couple hours. Friday is the Indians Home Opener and the second of three Openers the Twins will be a part of. Both teams are coming off of a win yesterday: Twins beat the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland beat Oakland 6-4.

Minnesota Twins (1-2) lineup

  1. Brian Dozier – 2B
  2. Joe Mauer – 1B
  3. Josh Willingham – LF
  4. Chris Colabello – DH
  5. Trevor Plouffe – 3B
  6. Oswaldo Arcia – RF
  7. Kurt Suzuki – C
  8. Aaron Hicks – CF
  9. Pedro Florimon – SS

Pitching for the Twins: Mike Pelfrey – RHP

Cleveland Indians (2-1) lineup:

  1. Nyjer Morgan – CF
  2. Nick Swisher – 1B
  3. Jason Kipnis – 3B
  4. Carlos Santana – 3B
  5. Michael Brantley – LF
  6. Asdrubal Cabrera – SS
  7. David Murphy – RF
  8. Yan Gomes – C
  9. Lonnie Chisenhall – DH

Pitching for the Indians: Danny Salazar – RHP

First Impressions

  • Thank God, Colabello is still in the lineup.
  • The Indians have their DH hitting ninth? Don’t see that every day.
  • On paper, Cleveland looks solid.

Game Time

2:05 Central from Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.

Can be seen on Fox Sports North and heard on the Twins Radio Network.
